During our many years working with and hosting open source message brokers, one of the most common questions we are asked when it comes time to choose a broker is, “What is the difference between RabbitMQ and Apache Kafka?” Comparisons between these two brokers are often made by assuming that they are essentially the same and destined to solve the same issues.
