Fall marks RabbitMQ Summit for us, and as usual, CloudAMQP had a team on site . This year’s summit featured a diverse range of interesting talks, but of course with a lot of focus on RabbitMQ 4.0 and AMQP 1.0 – two really powerful swings from the core team for the community to respond to. We look forward to what the future holds and will ensure to engage in these discussions going forward.
From our end, three talks were held.
Nyior Clement, developer advocate at 84codes/CloudAMQP, shared a talk called Change Data Capture: A RabbitMQ and Debezium Approach where he highlighted the challenges with moving large batches of data in times where data is always changing. Change Data Capture (CDC) together with RabbitMQ and Debezium offers both real-time data synchronization and event-driven actions based on database changes. It overcomes limitations of traditional batch replication, enabling immediate responses to data updates. This was also demonstrated live.
We are constantly seeking friends in the community to discuss with, whether they bring knowledge and questions to us, or we bring them to them. We are very happy to share whatever insight our many years working with RabbitMQ have brought us, something our experienced CCO Johan Rhodin did in his talk RabbitMQ’s Common Issues & Misconceptions: A Support Perspective. In this talk, Johan put all focus on the valuable insights and knowledge that we gained from handling over 500 monthly support cases at CloudAMQP.
We want to thank Erlang Solutions for inviting us to the RabbitMQ Summit, and also thank all the attendees for your questions and time spent at our booth. A special shout out to the winners of our competitions!
We have a lot to be thankful for when it comes to RabbitMQ. Not only does it serve as the backbone in diverse use cases across the globe , but it also got us to the place where we can meet, discuss, and evolve current and future technical challenges at events like RabbitMQ Summit. Our CMO Lovisa Johansson has worked at CloudAMQP and with RabbitMQ for 10 years, and in her talk A Love Letter to Messaging, she gave a passionate tribute to the power and elegance of RabbitMQ, celebrating its impact on software architecture. What a way to end RabbitMQ Summit 2024!
Again, thank you to all of you joining us! We had a great time and hope to see you again soon.
