They say there’s a reason why a rearview mirror is so small. For 84codes, we wouldn’t mind a large one. We are looking back at a truly memorable year for many reasons.
We’re officially 10 years old! 2022 was a milestone year for 84codes in many ways, including adding more people (nine) working from more places. In fact, we hired more people in 2022 than in the past 10 years, adding two new countries to our work locations. As of January 2023, the 84codes team has grown to 36 people working from Sweden, New Zealand, the USA, Hungary, Nigeria, and Germany.
It’s safe to say that 2022 was a successful year for us. The turnover grew by 50 percent, a testament to the productive effort of our hard-working team.
With regard to the performance of each product, CloudAMQP remained our biggest and most profitable. However, in late November, we introduced a new message broker we have worked on for a long time - LavinMQ. This spring, LavinMQ will move on from Beta, and we are excited to see how it will position itself in the market.
As for CloudKarafka, we have used the second half of 2022 to prepare for its revival. Karafka now has its own dedicated team of developers, giving CloudKarafka the attention it deserves. Moreover, the team is just about to launch a brand-new plan!
Going forward, one of the focus areas of 2023 is to increase the opportunities to meet existing and potential customers in person. Everyone knows that’s when the magic happens! So far, we have scheduled six conferences, one of which is our own CloudAMQP Summit in Stockholm.
If you attend any of these conferences, come by and say hi! We’d love to meet!
We feel proud and pleased with what we accomplished in 2022 and can’t wait to see what 2023 will bring!
Until next time,
