Team perspectives: 2024 in review

Insights and learnings from the 84codes team

As we bid farewell to 2024, it’s time to reflect on another exciting year. With 84codes just welcoming it’s 48th employee, we wanted to gather perspectives from our team members about their experiences throughout the past year.

Major investments in 2024
Naturally, our investments in LavinMQ during last year shows in our responses, as we continued working to make it the preferred choice for message brokering. Countless hours have gone into today’s product and 2024 marked several major milestones. The whole team is exited to see how LavinMQ will evolve during 2025.

Most importantly—You
During 2024, we ramped up our conference and meet-up presence, resulting in our attendance at 16 different tech events across nine countries. We highlighted these events as memorable and inspiring moments of the year. Interacting with the community is invaluable and last year allowed us to get to know you better, take part of your solutions and hear your perspectives on message queuing and streaming firsthand. We got a lot of great ideas on how to improve and new projects to take on, something that makes us look forward to this year even more.

No fun without some challenges
During 2024, we implemented several major improvements that affected all our servers—during these times, team cooperation reached new heights. Looking back, these challenging moments were also among our most enjoyable.

Now, at the beginning of 2025, we can reflect back on a year with a lot of big events going on —something that we feel really proud of. Our goal for 2025 is to channel all the valuable insights we’ve gained—from our community, new team members, customer feedback, and our own dedicated work—back into enhancing LavinMQ and CloudAMQP. While some of us focuses on pure innovation, we have built a strong foundation of people that ensures that what we build keep up to our high standards.

  • A trend we’ve observed is our systems’ increased reliability, which has resulted in fewer support cases. 🎉
  • We’re seeing strong engagement from users outside of CloudAMQP through our open-source community, with active discussions on Slack and GitHub issues.
  • Our RabbitMQ training tool continue to see strong user engagement, so does our E-book.
  • We’ve observed a shift as companies migrate from CloudMQTT to CloudAMQP, reflecting changing market preferences.
  • Our YouTube live streams attracted many new subscribers.

Looking back at 2024, it’s exciting to see how far we’ve come, and even more thrilling to imagine what 2025 will bring. Thank you for being part of our journey!

Until next time,
